Griffith Observatory
There’s no better view of Los Angeles (and the infamous Hollywood sign) than from the Griffith Observatory. That’s why countless films have made this 1935 structure their chosen backdrop. Think: Rebel Without A Cause (1955), The Terminator (1984), Jurassic Park (1993) and La La Land (2016). Drawn to the connection between old & new, with it’s romantic sense of nature, this space can cinematically recreate the past. Griffith J. Griffith’s original vision was to make science more accessible to the public. Even stating, “If all mankind could look through that telescope, it could change the world”. It looks like he may have accomplished that, as the Griffith Observatory is the most visited public observatory in the world.
